Rest and fishing on the Amga river. Route: V. Amga-Onnes (390 km)

The route passes in the middle of the South Yakut taiga. The spacious meadows familiar to residents of central regions appear only at the end of the route. To the border with the Amginsky ulus, a forest rich in reindeer moss comes close to the river bank. In the territory of the Aldan ulus, reindeer herders' camps are located along the banks of the river. They are located 30-50 kilometers fr om each other. The camps mainly consist of 1-3 families. These are families of local Evenki and Sakha. The river bank is gentle, pebbly, rarely sandy throughout. The water is warm in July and until the end of August. In the middle of the path, starting from the hundredth kilometer, underground springs (dukte uuta) appear along the banks and excellent fishing begins from this place. Many people come here just for fishing. Fish: pike (sordon, boro5oy), perch (alyhar, haakhynay), burbot (syalyhar), whitefish (maya5as), lenok (maya5as), grayling (d'ar5aa), tugunok (sya balyk), soroga (kyhyl harakh,), kusteekha ruff (taas bass), sculpin and rarely sturgeon (khatys) and taimen (beat) ... In August, along the way, you can collect blueberries, black currants. There are many rocks wh ere you can see caves and grottoes. We have completed this route four times. The route starts from the bridge in the village of Verkhnyaya Amga. Below the bridge, the valley is narrow, with steep sides. The valley slopes are cut by deep gullies. Both banks are periodically rocky and steep. Opposite the rocks are gently sloping sandy and pebble beaches. Springs are not uncommon. At low water levels, the river consists of deep, almost motionless stretches and shallow, rapid rifts. There are large midges, wooded islands and bays convenient for fishing. Amga is an endless beach all along the route. There are no steep pits or pools here. The current is strong only on the rifts near the islands
