The route passes through alas and ancient sacred places - in the old days the cape was called Khotu Ytyk Khaya — South Sacred Mountain. In the annals it was known as Serguyev Kamen.
Kangalassky Cape in the old days was the border between the Namsk, Borogon, Kangalass tribes. At present, the border of the Yakutsk urban district, Namsky and Ust-Aldansky uluses passes here.
From the height of the cape there are excellent views of the Ensieli, Tuymaada valleys and the Lena River.
